Managing Department Queue

The Department Queue

To access the Department Queue module, click the ‘Department Queue’ tab.

Select a department by clicking the dropdown arrow. Select a window from the dropdown list. The green icon indicates that the window is occupied. You can also release your current window by clicking on your occupied window. You can take over the window even if someone is in it by clicking the preferred window.

Click the ellipsis beside the Window dropdown button to load the ‘Queue Action’ menu.

To take a break, click ‘Take a break’ then input how long will your break take. To cancel the current queue, click ‘Cancel this Queue’ and specify the reason why do you want to cancel the queue. If there are patients in ‘Now Serving’ your option will be to ‘Complete this Queue’

You may also toggle the ‘Show all Queues’ switcher if you want to show all queues or not.

Adding A Patient To The Department Queue

On the Department Queue Module, click the add.png button.

There are two ways to add a patient:

  •    by scanning the patient’s QR code
  •   by registering a new patient, an existing patient, or a patient with a valid e-mail address.

If the patient already has a QMeUp on his/her smartphone, you can scan the patient’s QR code to add him/her to the queue. Click ‘Add Patient by QR Code’.

To add the patient by e-mail, click ‘Register and add patient’ on the submenu.

QMeUp Mobile has a ‘People I Care For’ feature wherein registered users may have multiple patients under their names. This is to cater the relatives or friends of QMeUp users who are incapable of having a QMeUp account. e.g. children, senior citizens

Serving A Patient

There are two ways to serve the patient:

  • Drag the patient’s name from the line to the ‘Now Serving’ area.
  • Or you can also click the ellipsis on the patient’s information and click ‘Serve Now’.

Shelving A Patient

The shelving feature is used when a patient isn’t complete yet and has to go back to the queue later on. You may put a patient in the shelved first so you can serve other patients.

While the patient is in ‘Now Serving’, click the ellipsis on the patient’s information and click ‘Shelve Patient’ then specify a reason for shelving the patient. The patient will now appear in the shelved tab. In the shelved tab, just click the ellipsis on the patient information and click ‘Serve Patient’ to put him back in ‘Now Serving’.

Completing A Patient

Click the ellipsis beside the patient that the doctor is currently serving then click ‘Complete Now.

Sending A Patient Back In Line

There are two ways to send the patient back in line:

  • Drag the patient’s name from the line to the ‘Next in Line’ area.
  • Or you can also click the ellipsis on the patient’s information and click ‘Send Back To Line‘.

Canceling a Patient

Click on the ellipsis beside the patient information then click ‘Cancel Patient’.

Calling the Attention of the Patient in Queue

Click on the ellipsis beside the patient information then click ‘Call Patient’. The patient’s name will be called out.

 Creating A New Queue For The Patient

Click on the ellipsis beside the patient information then click ‘Create A New Queue’. Choose between Department or Doctors Queue.

Forwarding a Patient to Another Department

Click on the ellipsis beside the patient information then click ‘Forward Patient’. Then select the Department to which the patient will be forwarded.

Setting a Patient as a Priority

Click the ellipsis beside the patient information. Select ‘Set As Priority’. Select the specific reason as to why the patient should be prioritized in the queue.

Updating the Patient’s Notes

Click the ellipsis beside the patient’s information. Click ‘Update Notes’. Then input the changes you want to make.

Printing the Queue Number of the Patient

Click the ellipsis beside the patient’s information. Click ‘Print’. The ‘Print’ dialog box will appear. Click the ‘Print’ button.

Interchanging Patients in Queue

You can switch the patient’s position in line by dragging the patient’s information to the place of the other patient.
